Dominik hosts a series of discussions focused on Black History Month and the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade. Guest Richard Maguire details research showing the trade's deep connections to Norfolk and Suffolk, arguing that economic demand for sugar drove the system and that racism later served as a justification. Other guests, including Jasmine and Junior, discuss the omission of black figures from education and the impact of these gaps on identity. The programme also features Andrew Mavisa, who provides insight into the crisis of child-headed households in Zimbabwe caused by HIV/AIDS and hyperinflation. Dominik concludes by announcing that the show will implement a monthly Black History feature, as one month is deemed insufficient.

An immense amount of of information and lots and lots of really interesting data that showed that slavery and transatlantic slave trade and the the effects of slavery weren't just located.

Have to find a way of justifying it to themselves, and the way that that white slave owners and the slave owning classes and the people making money from this justify it is by by racism, and you create an idea of race that is.

Every month, we're going to do a Black History feature of some sort. So we're not going to, because I think that the one month just isn't enough. No, no, we always keep talking about we need to get to the stage where there is no need for it. So we're going to hope to. That's right. So I'm just going to like to announce that.
